這首歌大概是我翻過最難翻的歌吧…Orz
首先英文就需要花好多時間去理解他背後的意義
接著翻譯部分又要忠於原味(倒)
還把我聖經拿出來翻…XD
但我真的盡力了…....(涙)

但還是很想要翻出來給大家看
因為歌詞本身我覺得很有深度(還引用聖經)
一開始看到還蠻驚訝的
或許在感覺什麼都不CARE的外表下
其實Jin是有默默地在注意這個世界
或許不善言詞的他
用他最喜歡的方式- 音樂去讓人感受到他對這個社會的各種情緒(憤怒, 失望, 希望, 熱情等)
而現在他的SOLO控邀請他的歌迷一同進入他的世界
真的有說不出的感動



至於歌詞解讀部分(我的解讀)
其實大家應該都看得出來
這首歌的宗教意味很重
歌詞從一開始read this book(閱讀本書)應該就是在講聖經
整首歌感覺在暗指基督教徒信主後罪惡得以釋放, 且能獲得自由與平等
有重生的感覺

因此第一段在講他對這個社會的不滿
我自己覺得有可能是Jin想到之前在LA的生活
因為畢竟美國人種較複雜
LA也是一個貧富懸殊, 種族問題嚴重的地方
可能有些事讓他不想要再回憶
像他雜誌訪談曾說過留學那段時間
曾被人舉槍搶錢過
那種經驗會讓人很不舒服吧

第二段開始更具體的告訴大家怎麼作
一整大段完全是出自於聖經

7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature[a]will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 
不要自欺、神是輕慢不得的。人種的是甚麼、收的也是甚麼。順著情慾撒種的、必從情慾收敗壞．順著聖靈撒種的、必從聖靈收永生
GALATIANS 6: 7-9 (加拉太書)

歌詞:

主要希望聽者能發揮愛心, 因為怎麼收穫就怎麼栽, 相反的, 作惡多端則也會種下惡果
最後又回到因信主而獲得自由


這是我對這首歌的解讀
我不知道Jin有沒有信教
我也不知道這首歌他要表現的部分, 是以”他對這社會的不滿所以需要改變”成分居多?還是”信耶穌得永生”這種宗教理念的成分居多?
但唯一可以確定的就是
他真的不把自己當偶像歌手
所寫的曲風和歌詞完全不受限
其實翻完這首歌
對他有意外的佩服…XD

**再補充一點
其實跟小織和Kiki都覺得這首歌跟Black Eyed Peas的Where's the Love感覺還蠻相似的

好~~~~~~
現在來個比較輕鬆搞笑版的小插曲
如果有看過英文歌詞的人
一定發現Jin的英文真的很”特別”
外國飯叫他”Jinglish” (Jin’s English)
因為不僅一堆非常口語話的字
還有自己發明的字
還有漏字
甚至一堆拼字錯誤
真的是增加翻譯/理解上的難度

在翻這篇的時候
每次翻到dyeing都快笑死
“People lying People crying People dyeing everyday”
我想赤西仁要表示的應該是” 人們 每天 說謊 哭喊 以及死去(dying)”吧!
而不是他真正歌詞寫的” 人們 每天 說謊 哭喊 以及染髮(dyeing)”
有沒有那麼愛染啦!!!!
每天說謊完後就去染髮!!XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
“We been dyeing it's a sign”
然後染髮也是個暗示…XDDDDDDDDDD
