Commentary:
*1 I Love Flower in the Rainy Night
Rain, Night, Flower(雨夜花). It’s not a type of flower. It was originated from this old Taiwanese folk song from 1934 titled "Flower in the Rainy Night(雨夜花). The song has a story about a country girl who fell in love with a man when she went to Taipei to work. However, that man cheated on her and dumped her. Her heart broke and became a hostess at a night club. It was just like the wind blowing on a little flower at night, no one pays attention and people just step on it (as described in the song).
This original song was referring in SHE’s version (saying this song grew old with them) and they also sing the main verse of the song (which is the verse when Hebe and Selina sing "雨夜花雨夜花").

*2 perennial grasses
(菅芒). A typical grass can be found in Taiwanese mountains.

*3 Globe Amaranth
(圓仔花). A type of Taiwanese flower that is used for praying to God. The actual flower is small so it is usually used for embellishing other more beautiful and bigger flowers. There’s a Taiwanese old saying goes, “Globe Amaranth doesn’t know its ugliness(圓仔花不知醜)” because it was seen as a ugly flower but it still blooms all seasons.
This flower also means eternal love.

*4 Arcadia
(世外桃源). A Chinese fairy tale about a man that accidently bumped into this space with beautiful scenary and met great and peaceful people. However, when he tried to return, he couldn't find it anymore. It uses to describe beautiful natural place that is outside of the city or a ideal place/lifestyle.
(Arcadia). A mountainous and picturesque district of Greece, in the heart of the Peloponnesus, whose people were distinguished for contentment and rural happiness." It means "any region or scene of simple pleasure and untroubled quiet." [from thinkexist.com]

*5 Big dumb one
(呆大摳). Taiwanese slang of “big and dumb person.”
More often term is “大摳呆.”

是說翻譯台語歌還真有難度咧
因為本身台語就很差(毆)
但真的很喜歡這首歌呢!
原本的「雨夜花」也很喜歡
以前常常聽阿嬤在唱
總覺得台語歌的歌詞都很含蓄
但意境都很美、很深
很喜歡呢!!!
